THE NEW MANUFACTURE OF TUDOR: BORN TO DARE

The new manufacture of Tudor: Born to dare

Among the Jura mountains, in western Switzerland, the new Tudor manufacture stands as the new benchmark in watchmaking. An installation that reflects the spirit of avant-garde, daring and superlative quality that inspires the century-old Swiss brand. In this way, Tudor takes another step to exceed all standards. A manufacture born to dare.

The new manufacturing facility consists of four floors and a total of 5,500 m2 dedicated to challenging the limits of innovation. This headquarters allows Tudor to fully control the production of strategic components to further ensure that they meet all quality requirements.

Aesthetically, Tudor red predominates on the exterior of a distinctive building. Inside, furniture that combines the firm's representative colours, red, black, and grey, creates a balanced visual harmony. Consistency is key and is matched only by the emphasis on the ergonomics of the touch points of watchmakers' workbenches.

The construction has as its principle the minimum disturbance of the external environment. Tudor has paid special attention to not disturbing the Bied River horse. All the plants that have been planted around the manufacturing are endemic to the Jura region so as not to alter the balance of biodiversity in the area.

The building also has large glass windows equipped with Sage Glass. An energy efficient technology that automatically regulates light transmission based on the intensity of natural light. This allows energy consumption to be regulated. This energy is generated largely in the solar panels located on the roof of the manufacturing facility. The rest, at Tudor's choice, is also produced from renewable sources.

The installation represents the daring and innovative side of the brand. It maintains that brave spirit combined with the tradition of excellence in Swiss watchmaking. For this reason, the location of the manufacturing is also at the same level as the installation. It is in Le Locle, a town in the Jura Mountains inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2009. Watchmaking arrived in the area in the 17th century and remains today.

The culmination of the construction of the building was the posters with the shields that are the symbol of the firm. Shields that continue to represent the strength and skill of engineering and manufacturing.

Tudor has dedicated all its attention to every detail of the installation, from the workbenches to the choice of decorative plants. This attention is matched by the precision with which they craft every detail of each component of each watch.

Inaugurated in 2023, the new manufacturing facility marks the beginning of a new era. An era in which Tudor will perpetuate the region's watchmaking legacy by adding its spirit of daring.
