OMEGA. MORE THAN A MILLION RESULTS MEASURED IN TOKYO 2020

Omega's relationship with the Olympic Games was born in 1932 in Los Angeles. Since then, the firm has been the Official Timekeeper of the competition on 29 occasions. The goal during the Olympics is to provide a perfect measure to the best competitors in the world. Athletes prepare for years for this unique challenge in their career and to achieve the desired gold medal.

Omega has served as the measurer of every event for 89 years and Tokyo 2020 has been no exception. Thanks to his pioneering spirit and his efforts to constantly improve, this has been Omega's best timekeeping operation at the Olympics.

During the competition, the watchmaker's firm measured 1,300,000 results with maximum precision. This was possible thanks to a team as numerous as it is sophisticated, consisting of 530 timekeepers, 400 tons of equipment and 900 volunteers. Having achieved this goal, Omega already has its sights set on Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024, on its way to completing 100 years as Official Timekeeper of the Olympics.
